The sun is shining. Allergies are back in full force, and so are cyclists in spandex. But that means our Summer Adventure Sessions are back, too! (Read more about the Adventure Sessions on our blog.)
What is a Summer Adventure Session?
Between May, June and September, we will bring 250 young people to Whistler. They’ll spend the day ripping down the trails at the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, zipping around Cougar Mountain with Superfly Ziplines, or exploring the view from the treetops in The Adventure Group’s treetop adventure courses. No previous experience necessary, and it’s completely free-of-charge for participants
“We’ve been honoured to explore the beauty of Whistler’s wilderness through the Adventure Sessions. Our youth talk about their experiences for months and months afterwards, as for most of them, it was their first attempt at these unique and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities.” – Nikki, Urban Native Youth Association youth worker
Who Can Participate in Summer Adventure Sessions?
Sessions are open to 16-24 year-olds who are experiencing or are at risk of homelessness. Shelters and youth agencies from Vancouver and the Sea to Sky corridor can bring groups of up to 12 participants for our day-long Adventure Sessions.
These sessions are core to our purpose at Zero Ceiling. Not only do they allow us to have a positive impact on those who partake, but they are an integral part to what we do here – combining the transformational powers of outdoor adventure and building strong communities of empowered young people.
We are very grateful to Whistler Blackcomb and The Adventure Group for providing these experiences at no cost to our guests as we invite them to spend a day in the mountains being kids and having a great time.
