Youth Connections is an online mental health community for youth. Join Zero Ceiling and Vancouver Coastal Health in creating a safe space for young people, where they can grow a support system in the Sea to Sky Corridor and neighbouring communities.

Accessible mental health support must be a community priority.

We have been advocating for low-barrier mental health support for young people in our region for over twenty years. When COVID-19 hit, we realized the limitations of what was available, just as we saw the need for these services explode. So we approached Vancouver Coastal Health and asked them to partner with us on creating an accessible mental health support group.

Youth Connections is a free online group for youth aged 16-24 to connect with one another and learn positive ways to manage their mental health. This group is inclusive of all identities and backgrounds. The first virtual meet-up is this Thursday at 2 PM!

This first 6-week session is just the start. Our hope is that this group will continue to grow and create positive spaces for young people for years to come.

For more information and/or to join the first session, send an email to alanna.ray@vch.ca or call (604) 848-8393. Even if you decide this group isn’t right for you right now, we can help you find the health services you need.

Our sincere thanks to Vancouver Coastal Health for their partnership and all that they do for our communities.

Immense gratitude to the Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation. Their mission is to provide mental health resources to young people and do incredible work. They have supported this initiative with a generous donation that will allow Zero Ceiling to co-facilitate these sessions for youth in Whistler, Pemberton, Mount Currie, and surrounding communities.

Youth Connections online mental health peer support group starts June 4!
