Thank You For Helping Us Raise Over $75k to Build a Brighter Future

Happy New Year!!

(Is it still the “new year”? At what point are we supposed to stop saying that? Anyway…)

I’ve got a lot to catch you up on since we last spoke.

Firstly: How are you?

Thank you so much for sticking with us in 2021. It was a challenging year for everybody, and I am so happy you were there alongside us.

I hope the start to 2022 has been gentle and joyful and carries on that way. If not, I hope you know we’re thinking of you, and that we have some amazing people in our community willing to help. Reach out to me if you need support connecting with someone in Whistler.

Secondly: We raised over $75k!

Thanks to you, we managed to raise $75,159.88 in December! That blew our original goal of $40,000 out the water.

You may have seen us tell you that we needed to raise $150,000 in the last half of the year. Well, between the Building a Brighter Future campaign in December, our Par-Tee for Zero Ceiling Golf Tournament and Family Dinner fundraisers in the fall, and some incredible funders, we hit our target!

If you donated, gave a testimonial, shared our story, went to one of our partners’ fundraisers at the annual TAG local’s fundraiser, Escape! Whistler or the RMU Karma Keg, or just stuck with us, liking our social media posts and cheering on from the sidelines: thank you! We could not have done it without every single one of you.

And special thanks go to our anonymous donors who matched the first $20,000 in our Building a Brighter Future campaign. Because of this wonderful community, we were able to double the impact of your gifts.

Thirdly: Congrats to Janet, Monique, Greg & Sullivan!

Congrats to Janet Ouchterlony, Monique Joyce, Greg Dziedzic and Sullivan Mangan for winning the prize draws in December. They won some amazing vouchers, gifted by bubly Tube Park, Basalt Wine + Salumeria, Whistler Blackcomb Retail, and evo Whistler. Thank you to these awesome community members for supporting us.

And huge props to all these fantastic businesses who altogether donated $720 worth of prizing.

It’s three weeks into 2022 and we’ve already begun delivering on our promise to build that brighter future. Stay tuned to find out how.

Until next time,

xx Jill
